In order to provide these family's with the gift of literacy, IBP must raise $125 for each personal library provided. If you, your workplace, or your organization wishes to sponsor a personal library, your name will appear on the bookshelf, and you will receive a picture of the family your donation sponsored. Visit our online donation page today and specify "Habitat for Humanity" on the "On Behalf Of" box. Change the lives of local residents!
International Book Project is partnering with Salyersville Grade School to send books from our warehouse to restock their library and hopefully get books into the hands of children who lost their own books. Books will be sent 100 at a time throughout the summer to be ready for the children by next school year. If you are interested in donating books for the effort, they are especially in need of Accelerated Reader Books for grades 1-6. You can send them to IBP marked "for KY tornado relief." You may also contribute funds by visiting our online donation page and specifying "for KY tornado relief" in the "on behalf of" box. *Photo courtesy of Kentucky Living General Local Donations IBP sends books all over the United States to organizations and schools that need them. We have sent to Teach For America classrooms, prison libraries, homeless shelters, after school programs, library book-mobiles, and other literacy-based non-profits. To support IBP's local donation efforts, visit our online donation page and specify "local donations" in the "on behalf of" box. For more information about the Local Donations Program, contact Amanda Holt, Marketing and Local Donations Coordinator. |
