A typical USPS Mail_BagWhat is a Mail-Bag?
A Mail-Bag is around 30-33 pounds of books shippped through the US Postal Service to any location that can receive mail. This means that books shipped through The International Book Project can be sent to the most remote areas of the world. The cost to sponsor a Mail-Bag is $200. This charge includes Mail-Bag shipment materials, selection of books, the actual books, overseas shipping costs and documentation that is necessary to ship between domestic and international partners.

One of the hallmarks of The International Book Project's 40 year history is the many stories of global friendships that have developed as a result of the relationships built through the Mail-Bag program. All foreign organizations that receive books through the Mail-Bag program are required to acknowledge the receipt of books to the postage sponsor.

Special Occasion CardSpecial Occasion Card
Use IBP's Special Occasion Cards to honor your loved ones with a truly meaningful gift. When you make a contribution to IBP in honor, memory, or in celebration of a friend or relative, your gift will cover the cost of sending desperately needed books to a school, library or other organization throughout the world.

These cards make a great gift for birthdays, anniversaries, new babies, graduations, weddings or on the occasion when a thoughtful memorial gift is needed.

An attractive card uniquely designed with the art of Ugandan children will be sent to whoever you specify, notifying them that your contribution has been made in their name. In addition, we will encourage the overseas book recipient to write a letter of thanks to the recipient of the card (unless you sepcify otherwise).
