MDRT Grant Provides Books for Cameroon

The Million Dollar Round Table Foundation recently awarded the International Book Project a $5,000 grant to ship books to the North West and South West provinces of Cameroon. The books will be distributed to 12 community libraries in partnership with the Cameroon National Book Development Council. The books will ship out in June.

New in 2009: The Gregg Matching Grant for ex-Soviet States!

The Gregg M-Bag Matching Grant will match $1 for $1 M-bag donations that send books to Eastern Europe and the ex-Soviet States. The International Book Project is committed to expanding its support of Peace Corps Volunteers in this region in 2009.

Since 1966, the International Book Project has sent more than 5.5 million books abroad.

The International Book Project is an international nonprofit whose mission is to promote education and literacy while broadening Americans' understanding of their neighbors by sending quality used books overseas. Each year IBP sends more than 150,000 books to schools, libraries, churches, nonprofits, and Peace Corps volunteers in over 40 developing countries.

IBP is a registered 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization under the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by IRS tax law.
